So how is the holiday season going for everyone?!? Me? Cool. Parties, dinners, and shindigs, which (of course) equates to waaaay too much food! I'm excited though, because I managed to get all of my shopping done for my daughter BEFORE Thanksgiving, which is a miracle in itself!...I am totally the person who waits until 1 week before Christmas to start shopping. I guess motherhood is continually changing me for the better...:)...
On to the acting news front, I've been working on a couple of things since I last stopped by...
First things first, last Monday (11/28) I went to a SAG Conversations/Screening for the show TWO AND A HALF MEN. I'd never seen the show, but a close friend of mine (a non actor) loves it. So, I decided to take him, and boy what a treat we got!...We were only expecting Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer, but the whole cast showed up, including little Angus T. Jones. It was amazing to hear all of the stories of triumph and good fortune.

For example, two of the female cast members (Conchata Ferell and Melanie Lynskey) started out as guest stars, but the producer, Chuck Lorre, (who is mad cool by the way) loved them so much he made them regulars. Also, Cryer talked about how he was unemployed for 2 1/2 years, on the brink of losing his home, when he got the audition for the show. The story I took most note of was Marin Hinkle's. She talked about how she was six months pregnant when she auditioned for the show, so that really gave me hope!...:)...All in all, the experience was a lot of fun and well worth it. (I've since started watching the show.) That reminds me, I have to send a thank you out to Mr. Lorre for bringing the whole cast out and sharing such valuable tips with us.
So, I started Yoga again last week, kicked my butt!...nuff said...:)...
Finally paid my AFTRA dues!...
Received an e-mail from my agent yesterday, no more excuses about the Passport, all clients must have copies in her office by 1/31/06...Guess I gotta get on the ball...
Lastly, I've been working on an electronic submission to send out to local managers. I've been compiling a list and taking notes of who I want to send it to. I would really like to have one, A GOOD ONE, by the end of the year. Wish me luck...
It has come as a surpise to me because this year has flown by, but I will be another year older next week (12/13)! Boy where does the time go?!?
Ciao.
